I have been challenged to participate in Bookshelf Tag. Thanks Christina at christina.banksblogspot.com
THE RULES For ‘The Bookshelf Tag':
Answer the following questions about books, and then tag five other bloggers. You can answer the questions any way you want, whether it’s on your blog, in a video, or a combination of the two. Then remember to let whoever tagged you know when your post is up so they can read it.
1) Is there a book that you really want to read but haven’t because you know that it’ll make you cry?
I do cry when I read books. I read the Zion Chronicles and Zion Covenant by Brock and Bodie Thoene many years ago (several times) and found them very intense. I wept as I read the stories of the struggles of the Jewish people during the 30s and 40s. I have not reread them in many years partly because they are emotionally draining as I immerse myself in the lives of the characters.
2) Pick one book that helped introduce you to a new genre.
Growing up, I read my mom's large selection of Grace Livingston Hill books but soon grew tired of the similar story line in each one. I then branched out to other inspirational romances. Then I discovered Dee Henderson and suspense and intrigue. I think the first series I read from Dee was the O'Malleys then the Uncommon Heroes series.

3) Find a book that you want to reread.
I would actually like to reread A Thousand Tomorrows and Just Beyond the Clouds by Karen Kingsbury. My husband bought me the first one for my birthday when I came out. It really made me aware of the struggles of cystic fibrosis and the joy a Down Syndrome child can bring to a family.
4) Is there a book series you read but wish that you hadn’t?
Not a series but I definitely regretted reading Three by Ted Dekker. I was intrigued and couldn't wait to see "who done it" until I got to the end and then I was bitterly disappointed. Not a book or author I would ever read again.

5) If your house was burning down and all of your family and pets were safe, which book would you go back inside to save?
Can I just carry out my bookcases?? :) I would grab my Bible, my laptop and my tablet--since it has several books on it!
6) Is there one book on your bookshelf that brings back fond memories?
One book that I read many years ago as a teen was Robbie Taggert by Michael Phillips and Judith Pella. I loved the adventure and sweet love story of Robbie. The sequel, Jamie Macleod, was just as intriguing and wonderful!
7) Find a book that has inspired you the most.

7) Find a book that has inspired you the most.
I would have to say my Bible has inspired me the most to follow Christ and to live my live by.
8) Do you have any autographed books?
Hmm..I don't think so.
9) Find the book that you have owned the longest.
The Life of Jesus. A book that I received at Bible club when I was a child. A lady my parents knew had a Bible club after school on Thursdays. I won it for learning the most Scripture verses.

10) Is there a book by an author that you never imagined you would read or enjoy?
My daughter read a book on her tablet called Trinity by Ronie Kendig. She told me it was an interesting story about a dog in Afghanistan. She thought I would like it but I resisted reading it because I didn't think I would like it but I ended up enjoying it very much. I have her book, Raptor 6, waiting for me on my tablet. .
